Some of the most common insects you’ll find in the Grange (after mosquitoes) are two species of damselflies, the very common ebony jewelwing (Calopteryx maculata) and the somewhat less common river jewelwing (Calopteryx aequalbilis).  These are often found along the banks of the stream where they breed but they can also be found far from water feeding on mosquitoes and other small insects.
